Kitchen Vastu Shastra

Kitchen is an essential part of a house. It is such an important functionary of a house that it cannot be avoided. According to Vastu, the kitchen should be located in the south-east corner of the home, where Agni devta, the Hindu deity of fire, presides. This is a sensitive part of a house. Right from food preparation to consumption, it all matters.

The mindset in which the food to be consumed is cooked, the way in which it is garnished, the procedure in which it is served, everything matters. For that, a well-planned Kitchen set up is necessary. This positively influences the functioning efficiency everyone in the house.

The kitchen can be located next to bedroom. The kitchen can be located in close proximity to living room. The kitchen can host Pooja room of the house.

The kitchen should not be next to stair case. The kitchen should not be next to bathroom. The kitchen should not be next to toilet. The kitchen should not be below the staircase. The kitchen should not be visible from the house entrance.

• Kitchen should neither be too big nor too small
• The kitchen can host Pooja room
