Ram Navami day marks the descent of Lord Vishnu down to earth, as Sri Ramachandra to King Dasaratha of Ayodhya. Sri Ramachandra is the 7th incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Bhagwan Shri Ram is the main character of Ramayana. Sri Ramachandra was born on the 9th Lunar day of the Chaitra month, on the Punarvasu star. He was born to King Dasaratha and Kousalya. Sri Rama’s birth day is celebrated as Sri Rama Navami across the globe.

Importance of Ram Navami

This incarnation of Lord Vishnu as Sri Ramachandra is purely meant to teach the world and all of us about Dharma, righteousness and the staunch belief one should possess to be virtuous throughout his/her life.
